Home is made in the things we do again and again.
It is the meal placed on the table, the objects we choose to surround ourselves with, the traditions we create, the milestones we stop long enough to honor, and the people we invite to gather with us.
Creating Home is the living side of the hearth. It is the way we turn a place into somewhere meaningful through food, creativity, ritual, and community. Some of those practices are inherited. Others we choose for ourselves. Over time, they become part of the story of who we are and how we belong.
Here you will find creations for the home, ceremonies for life’s thresholds, and gatherings that give us reasons to come together.
The hearth is not only something we remember.
It is something we make.
Creating Home

Gather around the hearth
Since moving to Romania, I have continued a practice that has followed me through many chapters of my life: creating places for people to gather. I host regular meetups in the Brașov and Bran area, bringing together people who understand the strange, exciting, and sometimes lonely experience of building a life somewhere new.
These are opportunities to eat together, talk, laugh, exchange resources, make friends, and slowly turn unfamiliar faces into part of the landscape of everyday life.
As our own roots in Transylvania deepen, I hope to make more room around the hearth. Future gatherings will include seasonal celebrations, shared meals, workshops, and events on our land in the Carpathians; opportunities to mark the turning year and experience some of the traditions, food, stories, and simple pleasures that make a place feel like a warm hug rather than merely occupied.

Hearth and Heart
Soups, stories, and a little poetry from the hearth
Food has always been one of the ways I make home.
Hearth and Heart was inspired by years of feeding the people gathered around my table: friends and family, neighbors and unexpected guests, and whoever else happened to find their way through the door. It is a collection of soups made to be shared, accompanied by poetry and reflections on the comfort, home, and connection we create around food.
These aren’t recipes for impressive dinner parties. They are food for cold evenings, crowded kitchens, second helpings, and the particular kind of conversation that happens when nobody is quite ready to leave the table.
A small collection of warmth, meant to find its way into other hearth keepers' hands.

Canvas Art
The things we surround ourselves with become part of the landscape of home.
My artwork draws from folklore, history, nature, symbolism, and the old stories that continue to find their way into modern life. These pieces are created to bring a little of that atmosphere into our homes — something beautiful, curious, meaningful, and a little enchanted.
Spirituality
For generations, people have used ceremony to mark the moments when life changes: coming of age, partnership, birth, death, separation, new beginnings, and the turning of the seasons. These rites of passage gave us a way to pause at the threshold, acknowledge what was ending or beginning, and allow our families and communities to witness the change with us.
Many of us have lost much of that tradition. Outside of weddings and funerals, some of the most significant transitions of our lives now pass with little acknowledgment at all.
As a cleric in an earth-centered spiritual tradition, I believe there is value in making room for those moments. Ceremony does not have to follow a prescribed religion or inherited script to be meaningful. It can be shaped around your own values, relationships, traditions, and understanding of the life you are building.
